Volunteer Interest Questionnaire

We want to give you an opportunity to enhance your awareness of the Morgantown community by volunteering to participate in one or more programs organized by the OISS. It has been our aim to invite community organizations to sponsor a variety of activities that we have throughout the school year. As these organizations continue to sponsor ongoing events, we in return try to promote a healthy interchange between the community and you the student. Though this appeal is primarily intended for students, we are happy to accept volunteers who are here as researchers, scholars, family members, etc.

With this in mind, we invite you to take a moment and complete the form below. With your participation and that of the community, we can begin to open many doors. Should you have any comments or questions feel free to email me or call my office at 293-3519.

You or your organization can sponsor the IT, by bringing snacks to the Boyd room at E. Moore Hall on the third Thursday of each month between 4-5 PM. Socialize with other students and community members, learning more about each other. Sponsorship is scheduled in advance, so please call for availability.

You may volunteer to be the leader for a small group of new students during orientation in January and/or August—and/or, you may offer temporary housing to new students.

During the Fall semester, you or your organization may set up an information table, participate in the fashion show of traditional clothing from your country, and/or participate in the entertainment with traditional music, dance, storytelling, or ???

During the Spring semester, you may volunteer to help setup the reception hall, bring/cook a dish from your country for others to taste, and/or plan to be there for yourself.
